2024 Election Endorsements

The Laborers and the Washington State Building and Construction Trades Council have prioritized support for two key pieces of legislation: E2SHB 1549 and E2SSB 5061.

 E2SHB 1549 aims to strengthen education and support for contractors bidding on public works projects. This will help ensure that qualified contractors are awarded bids and that apprentice utilization requirements are met.

 E2SSB 5061 seeks to eliminate the current freeze on prevailing wage increases for construction workers on public works projects. 

Both bills will be discussed on Tuesday, March 25th, at 1:30 PM.
